The group started with 17 dancers in 2001, then grew to 19 and currently they are 22-24 dancers plus the leaders Robyn Titus-Davids and Sandy Hendricks.
The dance group has grown powerfully in God’s Holy Spirit. They especially value their annual
Stay-awake which binds them together, brings them closer to God and prepares them for our Lenten sacrifice and dances. All dancers have been exposed to the art of choreography and their input is most valued. We believe that God’s Spirit guides both young and old to express themselves. Dancers are regularly encouraged to create movement which interprets our message. We continue to pray for and aim to recruit male dancers. Looking back on the 15 years as dance leader, I am humbled because God has blessed us so abundantly and we have met so many people who share the same passion in our ministry.
The dancers are acknowledged for their commitment, love and passion in this part of God’s vineyard. These angels have endured hardship such as illness, death, unfaithfulness, divorce, neglect and the scourge of addiction. They have all the reason to be disappointed in the example set by the adults in their lives, but they choose to worship God and spread His word and for that I acknowledge them from the depths of my soul.
May their willing spirit grow into a fire that cannot be extinguished. May their thankful hearts keep praising God and may they humbly remain on their knees before God because it is there that we stand tall.
